Daniel is a founding partner of LARK. He has a broad practice as a corporate lawyer, and advises primarily in the areas of general corporate law, M&A, venture capital and private equity.

Before joining LARK, he was a founding partner and head of the London office of GLNS, and spent several years in the Munich and Frankfurt offices of a US law firm. He completed his legal training in Germany, the US, France and Spain.

Daniel has a particular focus on transactions in the technology and life sciences sectors.

A significant part of his practice is dedicated to emerging companies advice. He supports investors and start-ups as well as scale-ups throughout the entire lifecycle from their foundation through financings and exit transactions. He also advises on private equity transactions, management and employee participation models and in difficult shareholder situations. He is active in various companies as a supervisory and advisory board member.

A large portion of Daniel’s professional activities has an international angle. He advises his clients on cross-border M&A and financing transactions as well as German and foreign investors on their global investments in a wide range of jurisdictions.

More

Daniel chose the legal profession due to an absence of talent for other potential endeavors. Therefore, in his free time, he passionately plays various sports (without ever winning a competition), loves to eat (however is only able to cook water), is profoundly interested in contemporary literature (but only reads, never writes), and tries to bring up his kids (they never obey).
